Three fatalities occurred and a minimum of nine individuals were injured in Ukraine's latest attack on the Russian border region of Belgorod, according to local officials.

The deaths happened subsequent to an assault on the Maslova Pristan settlement early on Wednesday, officials said. Rescue personnel were carrying on seeking for people suspected to be buried under rubble.

This marks the third straight day that Ukraine has targeted the territory, resulting in many individuals lacking electricity and no fewer than two additional individuals dead.

Wave of Assaults Cause Damage

A sequence of Wednesday drone and missile attacks damaged homes, vehicles and power lines in various areas of Belgorod, per information from authority reports.

Officials released pictures from the area showing a sports centre with its structure and exterior demolished, and said that emergency personnel were removing wreckage and examining the harm.

In the nearby town of Moshchenoye, half a dozen persons - including a child - got hurt when an aerial projectile and unmanned aircraft hit a vehicle, while an individual sustained injuries when a vehicle was targeted in Masychevo.

Power Outages Impact Numerous

The strikes follow 48 hours of comparable strikes that have led to electricity failures and infrastructure destruction in urban Belgorod and adjacent territories.

Broader Context of Warfare
